7-Day Explore Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru NP, Lake Naivasha and Amboseli NP

After all the time you've spent planning and dreaming about going on this safari, this is where it finally starts.

Your driver/guide will meet with you at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport upon arrival, explain everything you need to know, and answer any questions. And then we'll go out on safari together.

The Giraffe Centre excursion offers a rare opportunity to interact with the endangered Rothschild’s giraffe, the tallest land mammal on Earth. Managed by the African Fund for Endangered Wildlife (A.F.E.W. Kenya)—a pioneering nonprofit founded in 1979—the centre has become a beacon of environmental conservation and education in Kenya. Originally inspired by the plight of only 130 remaining Rothschild’s giraffes in Western Kenya, A.F.E.W. began by rescuing and breeding giraffes, starting with two calves, Daisy and Marlon, at the very site where the Centre now stands. Since then, their efforts have contributed to a thriving population of over 300 giraffes across various Kenyan conservancies and parks.

Today, you'll depart from Nairobi and journey toward the Masai Mara National Reserve. Along the way, you'll pause at the Viewpoint of the Great Rift Valley, where the horizon stretches infinitely, inviting awe.

You'll arrive in Masai Mara in time for lunch, and as the sun dips low, check into your lodge.

After check-in, relax shortly, then proceed to an afternoon game drive that offers your first glimpse of the Mara’s magic — perhaps even the lion king on honeymoon.

You'll return to your lodge, play games, and have an evening bonfire. After an early dinner, you'll wrap up and retire for the day.

You'll rise with the sun after a hearty breakfast, anticipation coursing through your veins, for an exhilarating morning game drive.

You'll witness the untamed drama of the savannah, where the Big Five—lion, leopard, buffalo, elephant, and rhino—roam freely against the backdrop of the skyline. You'll explore the golden grasslands stretching before you like a canvas painted by the gods.

You'll witness the Great Migration—millions of wildebeest and zebras crossing the Mara River.

This natural spectacle is awe-inspiring (July through October is the best time to witness it).

For an unforgettable experience, you can take a hot-air balloon ride over the Mara. You'll drift silently above the wildlife, capturing breathtaking views (optional).

You'll enjoy a picnic lunch surrounded by the savannah’s symphony of sounds. End your day with an evening game drive and return to your lodge at sunset before dinner and overnight.

After an early breakfast, check out of your lodge, then proceed for a visit to the Masai Village nearby to learn firsthand about their culture and traditions. Upon arrival, you can expect to be welcomed with happiness, excited children.

You will be invited to try dancing and have the opportunity to interact with the Masai people right in their dwellings.

Thereafter, transfer to Lake Nakuru National Park carrying your lunch boxes. Famed for its rhino sanctuary and picturesque lake rimmed with flamingos.

Enjoy a game drive inside this beautiful wildlife haven.

In the evening, continue to Lake Naivasha and check into your beautiful resort on the lakeshore.

Today, after breakfast, explore Hell’s Gate National Park, a dramatic landscape of lava cliffs and geothermal steam.

You can walk or bike past zebras, gazelles, and towering gorges. Then unwind with a boat safari on Lake Naivasha, spotting hippos and waterbirds, followed by a guided walk on Crescent Island.

Dinner and overnight at your lakeshore resort.

Depart early for Amboseli National Park, arriving in time for lunch and a game drive.

This park offers up-close views of large elephant herds and, on a clear day, Mount Kilimanjaro towering in the background.

On your guided game drive in Amboseli this afternoon, there's a good chance you'll see lots of the animals the park is famous for against a backdrop of Africa's highest mountain.

Enjoy your evening by the lodge’s campfire or terrace before dinner and overnight.

Wake before dawn for a magical morning game drive when wildlife is most active.

Amboseli's famous elephant herds often make appearances during these early hours.

Return to your lodge for breakfast.

Go on a guided game drive through Amboseli National Park. Your driver/guide will make sure you're well-placed to possibly see elephants and big cats with Mt Kilimanjaro in the background.

In the afternoon, go for a guided swamp walk accompanied by an armed park ranger to observe birds and hippos up close. (optional)

Opt for a complimentary sunset photography session to capture Kilimanjaro's snowcapped peak glowing in the evening light.

Dinner and overnight at your Amboseli lodge

Today wake up to a relaxed breakfast, then a final game drive as you begin your journey back to Nairobi, arriving by midafternoon, with a drop-off at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.

It's a pity that it has to end, but this is where your safari will draw to a close.
